DUBAI, UAE: Emirates NBD has announced a strategic partnership with global startup accelerator Techstars and introducing an “Acceleration-to-Enterprise” model to speed up the development and deployment of enterprise-grade artificial intelligence (AI) and financial technology solutions.
The collaboration aims to introduces an “Acceleration-to-Enterprise” model across the Middle East, North Africa, and Türkiye (MENAT) region and is designed to co-develop high-growth AI and FinTech innovations and integrate them directly into Emirates NBD’s regional banking operations.
The partnership connects Techstars’ global pipeline of more than 11,000 founders with Emirates NBD’s digital infrastructure, which currently operates over 50 active AI use cases. The alliance will establish commercial pathways for financial technology startups, focusing on compliance, wealth management, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) banking, and capital markets.
This initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), a government strategy aiming to position Dubai as one of the top four global financial hubs by 2033.
“With Dubai now hosting nearly 60% of GCC FinTech companies, partnering with Techstars allows us to capture the next wave of financial innovation,” said Miguel Rio Tinto, Group Chief Digital and Information Officer at Emirates NBD. “By leveraging our regional footprint, we are offering selected startups a direct pathway into enterprise banking to support scalable solutions for our nine million active customers.”
Selected participants will gain access to Emirates NBD’s cloud-native infrastructure to pilot automated investor intelligence tools and secure, personalized banking services designed for the MENAT market.

The enterprise initiative complements Emirates NBD’s broader domestic innovation portfolio, which includes the National Digital Talent Incubator (NDTI) aimed at developing regional technology entrepreneurs.
